How do Tiny Things parties work?

• Prior to your party you will work with Sarah to determine a theme (optional) or a specific step-by-step project depending on your needs.
• Sarah will arrive a few minutes early to set up the crafting materials and her toaster oven.
• Each crafter will get to create two items, crafting time is about 1-1.5 hours.
• Individuals may choose to turn creations into: magnet, keychain, necklace, or figurine (other functional items can be discussed prior to party).
• After crafting, Sarah will step aside and bake the items (25-30 minutes- perfect timing for cake and gifts or meeting announcements!)
• Items will be left in labeled gift bags for crafters to take home, and all cleanup is provided!

What do you need to provide?

You provide the location! Tiny Things operates without a public storefront, so parties take place in homes, offices, and rented public spaces. Feel free to reach out for suggestions on places available for rent.

• Party location must have enough table space for each artist. (up to three tables can be provided)
• Two feet of additional counter or table space with access to an outlet is required for the tiny toaster oven- separate from the crafting area. (small table can be provided).
• All materials and cleanup provided!!

Kids Parties FAQ

What age is best?
Polymer clay parties are best suited for ages 5 and up, but younger kids are welcome to craft with the help of an adult.

Who handles discipline?
While Sarah is a seasoned teacher, she requests parents stay with group to handle any issues, and sometimes the kiddos can just use a little extra support!

Can this be done outside?
Absolutely!! If the weather is nice it is lovely to craft outdoors. Extra tables can be provided by request.

What if I don’t want to host at home?
Tiny Things cannot provide a space, but we can suggest you check out the rentable spaces at city parks and recreation centers, or space like the Creative Culture Lab!

Do kids craft the whole two hours?
Nope! There are usually 20-40 minutes (depending on how quick kids craft) left at the end for cake and gifts while items bake.

What type of Covid precautions are there?
Sarah will wear a mask at any indoor event, but party hosts are free to set their expectations for guests. Virtual events are an option (that means you can include far away family!), just ask!!
